  2008 – The Blood of Souls released in France as Le Sang des âmes
This book, Hakola's third novel, completes his "Blood Trilogy" and was translated by the author into French for publication as Le Sang des âmes by Intervalles on May 23rd, 2008.

 

  2007 - release of DRUNK WOMEN AND SEXUAL WATER

Fourteen songs coming together for 79 minutes of music and no filler (featuring Bénédicte Villain, Brice Pirotais, Cyril Bilbeaud and Lionel Dollet along with guests like Warren Ellis, Alexandre Margraff, Laureline Prodhomme, Aka de Kebnekaïze and Simon Texier), this long awaited work would have had to be a double album if released on vinyl.

French theater director Sandrine Lanno hired Hakola to compose and perform the music for her new production – Racine's La Thébaïde –  at the Centre dramatique national de Montreuil September 24th through October 26th, and at the Atelier du Rhin de Colmar November 15-16. With Anne Alvaro, Bruno Blairet, Nâzim Boudjenah, Selim Clayssen, Mélanie Couillaud, Vincent Macaigne, Mélanie Menu.


  2007 – Orchestre Rouge

RCA (Sony-BMG) released, in France, Orchestre Rouge's Yellow Laughter (1982) and More Passion Fodder (1983) for the first time on CD as a double album.
